St Jeremy's Root is a herb used by some shamans, and first introduced in the book Trusting the Babysitter. It has the effect of making someone who consumes it feel a compulsion to follow any order they are given for several hours. People can usually resist directly dangerous orders, but feel uncomfortable doing so.
The drug is also one of a few natural lysentripase compounds; and may be related to the drugs used in Wild Child and Over Protected.
