Hypnosis Doesn't Work Like That!/Jack Dibble
One of Garfield's friends at school, probably with similar interests. Jack is a stoner; he buys some really high quality weed from one of his brother Casey's friends (which Casey suspects, but thinks letting it continue is safer than letting their father find out), and supplies it to Garfield, Caitlyn, and a couple of other friends (which Casey doesn't know).
Garfield has written some fanfiction with Jack meeting characters from some movies they both enjoyed, but Jack doesn't know about this, and Garfield is horrified at the prospect of him finding out. It's implied that these fics are erotic; could be that Garfield has a crush on his friend. Jack's father, Pete, would be angry and possibly violent if he were to see these stories or the pictures that go with them; the details of why are left to the reader's imagination.
Later Garfield's bf. Garfield doesn't want anyone to know, and Jack might be similar. But Nyx is good enough at reading her son, and Toni knows Jack's big brother Casey Dibble, so they both have a pretty good idea of the situation.
Jack frequently asks friend and neighbour Caitlyn Flood to drive him places, as he isn't old enough to drive himself yet. More recently, he has started going places with just her, rather than a larger group of friends, which has led his parents and most school friends to believe they are dating. His parents mildly disapprove, as there's more than a 2-year age gap between them, but don't want to say anything in light of how he seems to be taking more care over his schoolwork and similar. In fact, Caitlyn is the only friend who knows he's gay, as he came out while stoned once, and she is helping him to cover up the truth by driving him and Jack to some secluded location.
