Book of Nightshade
A movie that Adi and Toni went to see in chapter 538/539 of Hypnosis Doesn't Work Like That!.
It starts out looking like a gritty police drama, a cop starting to lose faith in the system and considers taking the law into his own hands. But he dies in the middle of the movie, and it turns out that the character who was presented as a love interest has psychic powers, and the story is revealed to have been about ghosts all along. Nobody saw the twist coming at the time, and most reviewers appreciated the surprise enough not to warn their followers.
Characters include Chief Wolcenzek, Detective Heifer, and the Shadow Lady.
In Potty Genius, it seems there is a series based on the movie.
