An anime series that some characters in The Dare that Changed my Life watched a few years ago. It is about an elite psychic supersoldier who was dropped from the programme after suffering extreme PTSD. He was committed to an asylum, occasionally pulled out by the military to engage in missions (because he can be bundled into a high-tech autonomous armour suit which connects to his brain. The suit's control is a collaboration between his subconscious mind and the suit's AI, not involving his conscious thoughts at all … until he learns to control it through his subconscious impulses, uses it to escape the asylum, and creates a false identity so that he can try going to a normal high school.
