Meredith is a character in Character Development.
She is an author, and is prepared to do anything to learn how to make her characters more real. This includes getting a friend to hypnotise her so that she can feel what the characters in a story feel, so that she will understand those feelings better when she comes to write them herself. She gets into a deal with a couple of other authors, where they each proofread and experience the events of each other's stories. However, she doesn't pay attention enough to realise what genre The Baby Button is before she starts acting out scenes from it.
