Claire is a notorious brat in a future society where all girls are expected to be submissive and subservient. Women are often sent to be "broken" by an assigned Daddy before they are ready to get married, but Claire keeps breaking the men instead. Eventually she meets a guy, Desmond, who refuses to use the regression machines to train her because he thinks it's inhumane. She eventually decides to make him a baby girl instead, using the same technology, and helps him to cope with stress.
