One of Lorna's close friends in A Dose of Humiliation. She lives with her controlling mother, has an irrational fear of uniforms after something that happened when she was eight, and is often protected by her girlfriend Elspeth.
Family
- Her overbearing mother is willing to do anything to control her kids; it later becomes clear that she extends this to anyone she has an excuse to hurt.
- Her dad has a home office he calls his 'den', where he mostly sits "working" (watching porn) and is too busy to interact with his kids. This may be a response to the way his wife treats them.
- Marcie is the second of five siblings.
- Older sister: Briony; left as soon as she had the opportunity. Now at university studying medieval pottery.
- Two little brothers, Luca and Liam.
- They share a basement room, and have done really well at convincing their mum that they are well behaved.
- Frequently up until 3am playing Shadow Covenant 7: Pride of Oceania, but their voices don't carry as far as Mum's room.
- The patch panel for the alarm system is in their room, so they can see a light blink off when Mum starts coming downstairs.
- Luca plays guitar (pretty badly)
- Cecilia, little sister. In age between the two boys. Not much else known about her
