FanLibrary
A website for posting fanfiction, which allows stories to be categorised by series and character, as well as by genre and themes. In recent years, they've experimented by adding a feature to rate stories by required knowledge; basically allowing authors and readers to give some guidance about how familiar you would need to be with the source material in order to understand the story. There's a tag #beanips (based on the slang abbreviation for a popular series) which refers to stories which a newcomer could read and enjoy without ever realising they are fanfic; and a significant subcommunity of readers who browse the top beanips list for new reading material, and often start watching a TV show or movie based on the fic they've enjoyed.
The site also includes a character and setting wiki, allowing fans to collate all the known facts about characters in one place for easy reference when writing.
The story side of the site shares user accounts with its sister sites FictionLibrary and FetishLibrary; authors can choose which sites they want their stories to be recommendable or searchable on, but if you have a story's ID number, you can open it on any of the three sites. Similarly, an account from one site can be used on any of the others, and a user's messages, update notifications, and reading lists are accessible through any of the three sites.
