Hardman & Gallique
A maker of luxury jewellery; very old-fashioned, very expensive. Their shops have small windows displaying a limited range of merchandise, and you generally have to look rich before they will even open the door to you. If the staff working don't think you look rich, you would have to call in advance and have a credit check first. The stores are decorated in polished hardwood, and usually have only a few pieces on display. A significant proportion of their work is making items to order; including bespoke wedding and engagement rings.
One of their best known designers at present is fifth-generation board member Jacob Hardman, a descendant of both of the original owners.
