New page

An art gallery, visited in chapter 8 of [[New Experiences]].

The architecture is breathtaking, if a little weird. The gallery contains 100 corridors, which run in straight lines from one side to the other. There is only one purely horizontal corridor, most of them are sloping. And some of them are steep enough that getting from one to another requires clambering over sculptures whose creators deemed them suitable for the purpose; or you could follow a complex helical path around the edges of the building to get to the higher levels. The rooms between the corridors are more conventional, although the layout means that there are more sloping ceilings and floors than in most places. The corridors are also numbered 1 to 100 on the original plans, and no corridor joins another with which it shares a digit.
